Sumatra earthquake Charity Activity Yuko Kusama Diary
@Supported by Singapore Airlines, Yoshimoto Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Izawa Office., and Sun Music Production.
Before visiting India Part 2. (February 10th to 11th)
We plan to visit the Kitamuroin temple located in the Kouya Mountains of Wakayama Prefecture to pray for the people who passed away as a result of the Sumatra earthquake, and to pray for hope to those who have survived, and finally to pray for the safety of our charity activities. In this temple, an ancient god, Godai Riki Bosatsu, from the Nara period worshipped for the safety of the country, is placed. We would like to thank the god for our successful procedures up to now, and to pray for protection that goes beyond differences in religion, country, and race.

The Child Rescue Center is not an organization that supports a certain religion. People who have been brought up in various environments would have various religions, but the Child Rescue Center has been established so that the children will be able to spend a happy life. In order to make our first overseas charity activity a success, we would like to purify our body and soul, and go to India under the protection of god.

Since we will make this visit on our own expenses, the expenses will not be made from the donations made by our supporters.
Before visiting India Part 1(January to February 8th)
After watching the news everyday of the Sumatra earthquake and the disaster it made, instead of just being a viewer, I started to think what I could do to help, and decided to start charity activities through the Child Rescue Center

I have conducted donations for charity activities as an individual, but as the scope of the disaster is so large, I felt the limit of what an individual being can do to help, and decided to conduct this charity activity along with the help of others, and report the progress and results of the activities on this home page.

A lot of people have agreed to help and I am grateful from heart for their warm support. The names of the people who have supported us are listed here.

It was the first time to ask peoplefs help in this way, and sometimes did not know how to go forward, but we were able to transmit our passionate message, and as a result, many people have agreed to help. We are therefore feeling the responsibility to fulfill the peoplefs expectations.

This time, one staff member and myself plan to go to India. Plane Procedures such as Plane tickets, Visas, and Accommodations have been completed. Preparations for the chocolate before leaving are what are left to be done. I am very thankful for this present situation and am reassured because everyone has been supportive and helpful.

In order to see the smiles on the faces of many children, there is on job left. That is the chocolates. This will be work that will be conducted on February 14th.
